An emergency meeting of the Lodge was held on the 1st June where Bro. Scott Hamilton received his Entered Apprentice Degree. The degree was conferred by V.W.Bro. Bobby Spiers, W.Bro. Freddie Hoy and W.Bro. Alan Hunter. Both the Worshipful Master Terry Moore and his Proposer Bro. Stephen Lee congratulate Bro. Hamilton on joining Abbey 180.
At the May stated communication Bro. Mark Stockard received his Entered Apprentice degree from the Abbey 180-degree team. The degree was conferred by V.W.Bro. Bobby Spiers, W.Bro. Freddie Hoy and W.Bro. Alan Hunter. As can be seen from the photographs, the Worshipful Master Terry Moore congratulates Bro. Stockard and also is formally welcomed by his Proposer and Seconder, W.Bro. Stephen Houston and W.Bro. Robert Lenaghan.
May 2016 The demolition of the Old Whiteabbey Masonic Hall.
It was a sad day for Free Masonry in Whiteabbey and in particular to the Brethren of the Abbey Masonic Lodge No 180. The Lodge was formed on the 14th August 1869 and met in a number of places until finally moving to their “new” hall on the Station Road on the 11th January 1905.
As Free Masonry developed in Whiteabbey the following additional Lodges were constituted, Edenmore 161, Westland 461, Andrew Henderson 512, Liscoole 763, Abbots Cross 814, Cloughfern 845, and Fern 999.
In November 1987, a new Masonic Centre was built in Monkstown Ave and Abbey 180 along with the other Lodges moved to this new building.
The hall had a number of new owners until it suffered an arson attack in 2013. It was finally demolished in April 2016.

October 2015 Presentation
At the Annual General Meeting on the 14 th October of the Brookville Masonic Hall Company (Managing Company for the Whiteabbey Masonic Centre), W.Bro. Bill Patterson the representative for Abbey 180 stood down as a Director of the Company after over 20 years of dedicated service.
Bill's expertise in building construction and maintenance played a crucial role in the management and up keep of the Masonic Centre.
The Provincial Deputy Grand Master for the Provincal Grand Lodge of Antrim, Rt. Wor. Bro. David Lyness, representing the Company Shareholders made a small presentation to Bill on behalf of the Company.
